Well, I’ve finally jumped on the blog bandwagon.  Laziness has overcome me & my desire to update and reload my own site constantly.  I plan to use this blog as my design diary and hope you’ll find something useful here pertaining to product design & philosophy before you fall asleep.

I have been an Industrial Designer for 5 years, and am constantly looking for what’s new.  My training is actually in Transportation Design (my childhood dream was to design cars) but school turned me off a little to that.  I actually got tired of drawing cars over and over again.  Can you believe that?  Then I began to explore and understand Product Design and the realm of unexplored possibilities that exist for innovation, and how designers really can shape our world.  I was taught once that our role as designers is to make the world a better place, one product at a time.

Oh yeah, you probably want to know what a “soiltron” is, eh?  My brother had a unique slang he & his buddies established in High School years ago.  Soil is kind of a term for good.  So if something is “soily”, that’s cool.  So “Soiltron”, I suppose, is an arrogantly hidden way of saying I rock.  Which I do, of course, otherwise I wouldn’t have my own blog…
