Well, I’ve finally jumped on the blog bandwagon. Laziness has overcome me & my desire to update and reload my own site constantly. I plan to use this blog as my design diary and hope you’ll find something useful here pertaining to product design & philosophy before you fall asleep.
I have been an Industrial Designer for 5 years, and am constantly looking for what’s new. My training is actually in Transportation Design (my childhood dream was to design cars) but school turned me off a little to that. I actually got tired of drawing cars over and over again. Can you believe that? Then I began to explore and understand Product Design and the realm of unexplored possibilities that exist for innovation, and how designers really can shape our world. I was taught once that our role as designers is to make the world a better place, one product at a time.
Oh yeah, you probably want to know what a “soiltron” is, eh? My brother had a unique slang he & his buddies established in High School years ago. Soil is kind of a term for good. So if something is “soily”, that’s cool. So “Soiltron”, I suppose, is an arrogantly hidden way of saying I rock. Which I do, of course, otherwise I wouldn’t have my own blog…
